Plan

The Museum of Natural History of the Mediterranean has its headquarters in Villa Henderson, an elegant building from the late 1700s that over the years has been used as an exhibition space and to which other rooms have been annexed, including the Sala del Mare. This pavilion was built specifically for the public display of a specimen of fin whale found in Piombino in 1990 and, with its arched architectural structure, deliberately recalls the shape of the cetacean.
